UCT Student activists had a silent march against rape culture today organized by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) working together with UCT Survivors and the UCT Sexual Assault Response Team.
The groups were protesting against rape culture on the campus.
The silent protest moved from Upper Campus to Bremner where a ‘die in’ was held in recognition of those who had died from rape and murder.
Activists stressed for the provision of the Post Exposure Prophylaxis used to prevent the spread of HIV & AIDS after a rape incident.
The silent protest is one of many organized around the country by the AHF.
