Cape Town – The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize, will speak at the University of Cape Town on Thursday.
Professor Mkhize will hold a consultation session with with students, the Student Representative Council and various student political formations on the new government policy on free education for the poor. This was announced in a media statement released on Thursday morning.
“The session will form part of the Department’s ongoing stakeholder engagements on the implementation of the free fee higher education policy for the poor and working class students as announced in December last year”, said the statement.
Mkhize will speak at UCT’s Upper Campus at the New Science Lecture Theatre at 17h00.
