UPDATE: Urban Brew Studios confirm IT technician as 4th victim of deadly Queenstown crash

Cape Town – Urban Brew Studios has confirmed the death of crew member, Skhumbuzo Mbuthuma (pictured below), who was involved in Saturday’s deadly crash on the N6 between Queenstown and Jamestown.

Urban Brew studios confirmed Mbuthuma as the fourth victim of the deadly collision which claimed the lives of artists Akhumzi Jezile, Siyasanga Kobese and Thobani Mseleni.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni confirmed that the accident occurred on the N6 between Queenstown and Jamestown in the early hours of Saturday morning. The identity of the fifth victim has not yet been confirmed.

In a statement released on Sunday, Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa paid tribute to the fallen artists describing them as ‘brilliant shining stars from whom we’d have undoubtedly derived joy and delight from their long careers and lives’.

Jezile and friends had been traveling from Johannesburg to eNgcobo for his grandmother’s funeral who was buried today.

Eastern Cape police said that a case of culpable homicide has been opened.
